Hungarian Police Allegedly Broke a Woman’s Arm
Over the last couple of weeks, we see an increase of violence on the external EU borders. In one of the squats that is just few kilometers away from the border line KlikAktiv met a woman from Tunisia with broken arm. She arrived in Serbia legally, due to visa-free regime between Serbia and Tunisia, with her underage children – boy (12 years old) and a girl (14 years old). They tried to cross into Hungary on 5th June within the group of 20-25 people, but they were caught by the Hungarian police. Hungarian police started beating them with the batons (police sticks) and several people fell on the ground, including her. Hungarian police started kicking them while they were on the ground and that is how her arm got broken. She didn’t get any medical assistance in Hungary. Hungarian police pushed them back (the whole group of 20-25 people) to Serbia on the “green border”.
